Description

The Horizon’s boast a huge living area which has an enclosed porch area with multi use door or vent screen. The secondary door is oversized, so when open it creates one large living area giving you all the space you could ever need. And if you want even more space, there is an optional side porch available. The support: There are no poles here, you have 5 long inflatable beams. This is what they call the Airgo technology with welded TPU tubes. The position of the tubes is shown with the red lines in the floor plan picture above. To give that price some context we then looked at all of the products available from Go Outdoors in the Weekend Tents category. We found 16 items in total. What’s the price of Weekend Tents? The first time pitching it was easy after pegging out the 4 corners and inflating the 5 air beams witch took about 10 mins the tent was up and the other half setup the interior as I pegged the rest out, 27 pegs around the base 26 guys. The picture also shows numerous storage pouches on the wall of the inner tent. There are three inner doors that are equipped with mesh sections for ventilation.

Pitching time is quoted as 25 minutes, but we recon after you’ve got to grips with it you will have this tent inflated and pegged out faster. NOTE – The first time you pitch it you will need to install the bedroom, so allow for this at your first camp. After that, you can just leave it in place like with other tents. We’re really pleased to have scored Hi-Gear Horizon 700 Air Nightfall Tent so highly, givimg it 8.3 out of 10, making it well above the average for all Weekend Tents. Another factor that can be a great indication of product quality is the brand. Brands like Hi-Gear are of course extremely well known, especially for Weekend Tents. From our experience, darkened bedrooms are always cooler, meaning you should be more comfortable on hotter nights. The centre divider can be removed to create a single large bedroom and if you are worried about feeling closed in a claustrophobic, there are large mesh covered zipped panels front and rear that can be opened up to let both light and fresh air in – the best of both worlds. There are power/electricity access points on both sides of this tent. This is handy as many other tents only have them on one side, and this can mean having to run cables all around the outside of the tent or even having to pitch in different places so you can reach the electric supply. That’s why we’ve pulled together this list of key factors for Hi-Gear Horizon 700 Air Nightfall Tent below, to help you choose if it’s the right product for you and your budget. There are currently no images uploaded by members for this Tent. If you have a photo, be the first to upload one.

Premium Oxford 5000HH Flysheet – Resilient embossed Oxford fly with a more than adequate Hydrostatic Head. They do not provide information about the floor, but it is bathtub style and most likely polyethylene. It is fully sewn in and sealed. Note that the inner tent has yet another floor, so you have two layers of floors in the sleeping area. Moving into the centre living area, you will see from the photos that it is large enough to comfortably fit a table and chairs.

I have already mentioned the doors with their mesh for ventilation. The main door is deep under the porch so you can have as much air as you want. The inner tent hangs attached to the shell so there is a gap for air circulation between the two layers. When buying Weekend Tents, the quality of the product is going to be one of the factors that you really scrutinise before you commit to buying. That got us thinking though, that we’re looking at every possible item from Hi-Gear so it would be good to narrow our search down even further and only look at Hi-Gear branded products within the Weekend Tents category. The cost of Hi-Gear Weekend Tents Overall this is a great family tent with 3 bedrooms which can be unzipped to make a bigger sleeping area simple to set up and take down . The single bag it comes in included the manual air pump all pegs as I've already said its big and the bag fills the boot of my ford Kuga.

The bedrooms and the living area has a sewn in groundsheet and the tent comes with a front area ground sheet which you can use or not.The flysheet on this tent lets in plenty of light, making this a very nice and airy feeling living space. The side door is a nice large size, giving easy access and letting in plenty of fresh air. It is fitted with a mesh panel for keeping the creepy crawlies on the outside. It’s got a decent rain canopy too should the good old British weather decide to do what it does best. The downside to buying online is that you can’t actually get hold of the product to try it out first. Regarding seasons & climate, the fabric is with a very high waterproof rating, and the tent is fully closable yet nicely ventilated. So it will perform great in any environment and I see it very suitable for a 3-season-plus camping. The front porch area is provided with a separate groundsheet. This is handy as it gives you the option of whether you want it in place or not. Some like to feel the cool grass under their feet whilst in a sheltered area, and many campers also like to have no ground covering in areas where they are cooking/preparing food.

But they have added dedicated vents for extra air cross flow. So you have 4 low vents (one shown below), two in the living room and two in the sleeping area. One of the low vents. Price – as you’d expect the price of a product can be an instantly recognisable factor on what sort of quality you can expect. Whoever came up with the phrase “you get what you pay for” pretty much hit the nail on the head. Whilst it’s not always the case and there are many bargains to be had, you can as a general rule, expect the higher priced products to offer better quality than a the cheapest option. We’ll dive into the price of Hi-Gear Horizon 700 Air Nightfall Tent in more detail in a moment. The material the product is made from is often a sign of the quality for Weekend Tents. Take a look at the product details over at Go Outdoors to get a feel for this. This is a big tent, but one person can easily set it up in 20-30 minutes or so. The official pitching time is 30 minutes. There’s plenty of ventilation panels around the tent, and a large zipped one that runs along the rear of the bedroom which is great for keeping that area cool. We had rain and sun, and didn’t experience any problems with condensation building up inside the tent.
