Description

After 33 extraordinary years, Susan Hill’s The Woman in Black will haunt the stage of the Fortune Theatre for the final time, as the production ends in the West End on Saturday 4th March 2023.

Like everything else in this show, the garden designed by Sorcha Corcoran, is beautiful with lots of colour, light and plants that Grandad knows by name and talks to. The Scottish Government has acknowledged that drug education across the country is inconsistent and inadequate. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. Most telling of all Amy Zoldan as Alice wrestles with her conscience as the person who everyone blames for Dan’s death. We hope this will bring the play to many more drama studios and classrooms across the country and around the world, with its important messages of risk, choice and consequence, friendship, forgiveness, love and loss. During Spring 2022 ‘I Love You, Mum’ was performed for the 500 th time, an incredible achievement in just five years since publication. The fourth member of the excellent young ensemble, Alex Colley, tends to take the part of Dan, less prominent as Mark interviews the survivors.

We really hope this will mean families will come together and have conversations at home that help other teenagers keep themselves safe – but it’s also a beautiful play and a fantastic production, creating an opportunity for anyone who loves great theatre to experience it, and to get to know our Dan. Overwhelmingly the element that had most impact was the fact it's a true story, about a real person. Students will learn that there's always a choice and that the risks associated with drug use are incredibly high. Although the play revolves around Dan he has no lines and he is imaginatively represented throughout by a blue zip-hoodie that is sometimes worn by the 15-strong cast who play him in turn.Paul Ibbott - Composer of the underscore for the OYT production This book offers a unique and fulsome guide for teaching/studying this play and includes a detailed scheme of work for teachers using the play as a set text in the GCSE Drama examination.
