Angostura is the first expansion of the great bitter now with a high quality and concentrated orange flavour, making this perfect for use in the highest of quality cocktails. The oranges are picked by hand by selected citrus growers and harvest only within the rainy season to ensure ultimate freshness and taste. Background: In 1824 the House of Angostura mastered the production of their aromatic bitters, and almost 200 years on, they have developed their first brand extension, Angostura orange bitters. It has an unparalleled depth of flavour, making it an essential to have behind any bar and in any kitchen. The concept of orange bitters pre-dates the prohibition era and was a key ingredient in many classic cocktails. This Vermouth di Torino that uses wines from Piemonte, including Langhe Nebbiolo and three types of wormwood– Absinthium, Pontica and Vulgaris. Angostura’s Orange Bitters are only the second expression to have made an appearance since the original bitters were released in 1824.
